Caretaker position

Monday, 14 May 2012 through to Monday, 8 October 2012 or longer by agreement

Enjoy a winter in the maritime climate of Tasmania at Tagari Farm.

Tagari Farm is seeking a reliable, capable and honest individual or couple to look after the property and its animals during this time period.

This 17 acre property will be settled into its winter resting. Minimal work is required beyond daily feeding of two horses, poultry and two border collies. Dogs need daily walking and attention, horse stable needs daily mucking out. Generally speaking two hours per day is plenty.

Caretaker will need to regularly correspond via email, skype and/or  phone with owners regarding condition of property and animals.

The on-site office is open and staffed Monday through to Thursday, 9.00 am to 4.30 pm each week.

This is not a paid position but provided for the caretaker is accommodation in comfy caravan, food allowance, electricity, camp kitchen facility, laundry machine and hot water.

This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to escape the rat race.  Delight yourself with the sounds of nature and the calm environment of rural living.

It is necessary to have your own vehicle, a good attitude, be physically and mentally  fit and be comfortable living remotely. Sorry the property is not suitable for children.
